Eventide Communications Division Announces Promotions

Eventide Inc. is pleased to announce the appointment of Richard Van Tieghem to the position of President for its Communications Division. Van Tieghem has over 30 years of experience with telecommunications products and channel partner networks. His previous positions have included Vice President of Operations and Marketing Product Management roles at leading firms in the command and control, ACD, and recording fields. Richard joined Eventide in 2009.

Simultaneously, Mat Schwartz has been named Vice President of Engineering for the Communications Division. Mat has been with Eventide since 2002 and has served as chief architect of the Atlas product family. In his new role, Schwartz will assume responsibility for product development, test, quality assurance, and technical documentation. Schwartz was previously with Annotate, LLC and received his BS in Computer Science from St. Mary’s College of Maryland.

Brian Klock has been promoted to the position of Chief Technology Officer for Eventide’s Communications Division. Klock started at Eventide in 2005 as a Senior Software Engineer and quickly demonstrated his formidable knowledge of Linux, software design and communications applications engineering. Previously, Klock served as Software Engineer at NEC Laboratories, where he was integral in the development of the Inquirus platform, a learning meta-search and data-mining engine; and MSE, an embedded cryptographic processor for mobile devices.
